Holes, bear tracks, and healing

Two weeks ago I reported that my youngest child, my daughter Hannah, may have a hole in her retina. Yesterday, she went to the ophthalmologist and the diagnosis was confirmed. Soooo not what I wanted to hear.

How does a 12 year old get one of those?? I don’t know…if I did I’d make pretty darn sure that she never did it agin, that’s for sure.

The upshot of it all is that she now has to return in 6 months for a follow up visit and to be possibly booked for laser treatment. Also, not what I wanted to hear. *sigh*

OH and that’s not all, nooooo, the hole wasn’t enough. She also has what is known as “bear tracks” on her retina. The doctor did indicate that this condition may be linked to polyps in the colon, but that she may not have to worry about that until she’s older.

My first thought was, “I DO NOT ACCEPT THAT!” Polyps?! Forget it. It’s so NOT happening. Feeling a wee bit feisty about this today. Can you tell?! LOL!!

“And he took all of our sins and lifted them in his body to the cross, for as we are dead to sin, we shall live in his righteousness, for by his scars you have been healed.” (I Peter 2:24; Aramaic Bible in Plain English)

Polyps, holes, bear tracks, they were ALL dealt with on The Cross! Seriously. they were. That’s past tense. Done. Finished. We don’t have plead for healing; its’ ALREADY ours!! YES!!! We just have to avail ourselves of it; it’s there for the taking. Confessing & believing God’s word over this and any other situation will release it’s power over it.

“Now faith is the conviction concerning those things that are in hope, as if it were these things in action, and the revelation of those things that are unseen” (Heb 11:1; Aramaic Bible in Plain English)

We as a family are standing on the promises of healing. How about you? Will you join with us? Do you have something that you need healing for? Can we stand with you? Precious friend, it would be an honor to do so.

Hugs!
