in progress….

Hello!

It’s been a while.  Things have been a “wee” bit crazy around here. We’ve had regtistration evening sfor the teens not yet finished with high school, and grad stuff for the one finishing. We’ve had projects started, a book club joined, and on top of all that is home we also have overtime at my “day job”. Yes, overtime, which is great for the paycheck but hard on the little bit of spare time we did have in the week.

So please, bear with me if I’m a more sporadic than usual.

The book club I’ve decide to try is called Transit Lounge and was started by my friend Kelley Nikondeha. The bookTransit Lounge we’re currently reading is Inspiration & Incarnation by Peter Enns.  It is a read that is quite far out of my comfort zone as I’m not a theologian by any stretch and I usually read fluff. I also tend to be extremely simple in my faith and my approach to it, so this is a book that I have to read in spits and spurts.  It has been challenging and enlightening and I am still processing the few chapters that I have read thus far.  If you’re interested in seeing what has been, and is going to be, shared or said regarding this book type #transitlounge in your search on Twitter and follow along.

GradOur soon to be graduate now has her formal pictures and we are currently in the process of choosing which one(s) to get. I don’t know why but I am in complete shock aobut the prices for these pictures! Honestly! The cost for some of the packages rivals what I paid for my wedding pictures! Such a to do. I will be choosing carefully as we only have one shot at this and I will be setting a precedent for the ones coming up behind her in regards to what was purchased. In the meantime my mother’s heart is taking a beating thinking of letting her loose on the world, to release her to find her own path.

On a different note, I have picked up my crochet hook again and am in the process of mblanketaking a baby blanket for someone at Shawn’s work who is expecting their first baby. The pattern was found free through the website Ravelry and is teaching me new stitches.  I’ll post more pics as we get further along but for now this will do.

So my friends, that is what I’ve been up to these past few weeks.  Reading, crocheting and a lot of overtime added to my schedule and very little time for anything else.

What have you been up to? Anything new and wonderful in your world?

What have you begun that has challenged you?
